What white privilege is and how to use privilege for good.

What's Inside

We’ve neglected the topic of white privilege for too long. This book directly addresses the myth that all kids start from the same spot. White kids growing up today can see their privilege and learn how to use it for good. And maybe—just maybe—learn how to give it up.

About The Author

Ben (he/him) is a social entrepreneur who is convinced we can bust through the tension if we think differently and act with courage. Ben leads an organization called The Contingent, which is building a movement of people trained for action: www.thecontingent.org.

Racism written as anti racism

Another cis privlided white male writing a book about racism. The author has no idea what racism is because he never experienced it. He is just looking to make money off the current white liberal trend.

Excellent book

This books helps explain white privilege to kids in a way they can easily understand. It gives parents the tools to begin learning and teaching our kids how to use our privilege to create change and work toward a more equitable world.

Simple and straight: how to talk to your white kids about the “head start” they didn’t ask for bu...

I liked this book. It was simple and honest and used even the page colors to reinforce the message about how color matters for how we make our way in the world. It ended with a positive challenge to white children: how to use their unasked-for but automatic “head start” to make things better for those who don’t have one. There was no talking down to the white children and no talking down about children of color. It was honest and straightforward and I loved its message.
